In 1950, appliance delivery is largely unheard of in Australia. So we embrace the challenge and send out our first delivery. With our emphasis on care and family values, we quickly become Australia’s most loved big & bulky goods delivery service. Our history of legendary service is born.
Inspired by his father John, Richard William Winning establishes a business dealing with the horse and carriage trade, as well as hardware. The R.W. Winning & Co. trading name is born.
The way we make money matters. The heart of our business has always been about delivering inspiration but today’s world calls for more.
So our focus is about making money while doing good, as that’s the only way we can create the future we want and need.
Through to 2030 we are focusing on six key areas of transformation towards a more sustainable future.
Getting to real operational net-zero emissions by not only reducing our own impact but by using our influence with all parts of the supply chain.
We have been recycling old appliances since 2005 and are now employing new innovative practices to further reduce waste at all levels.
We have a shared responsibility to source products ethically and sustainably. We do this at all levels and in all geographies, including extensive screening of all new suppliers.
Being part of a bigger picture means we can look to create impact not only in how we do things ourselves but how we can inspire others to drive positive change; from our team to our customers and suppliers.
Winning Group is a sum of its people. By focusing on their psychological and overall wellbeing, we can ensure they have what they need to create the impact we’re aiming for.
We believe change happens from the inside-out. Through neuroscience, we help people better understand themselves and each other to create a better model of humanity and drive positive change.
We give back to build happy and resilient communities and contribute to improving safety, homelessness, health, youth, reconciliation and the environment, by contributing to and engaging with various organisations including Touched by Christopher, Dignity, Lou’s Place and Mary’s House. We also proudly support the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience and their annual Hoodie Day.
